The term ‘our Website’ is a collective term for both:
Our public website - www.familyquilt.net, and
Our Web-app, the private zone accessed only by Storytellers and Viewers (see below) and used to capture and share the Storyteller’s content.
The term “you” refers to the users of our services and can be split into broadly 3 categories:
Storytellers are those who have either subscribed to a free trial, purchased or been gifted a subscription and are recording stories in Family Quilt.
Viewers who have been invited by a Storyteller to have viewing access to any Storyteller’s content; and
Browsers are those potential Storytellers or Viewers who have simply searched for or landed on our site but are not yet either a Storyteller or a Viewer.
“Users” is our collective term to refer to all Storytellers, Viewers and Browsers.
By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site.
We recommend that you print a copy of these terms for future reference.
These terms of use refer to the additional terms set out in our Privacy and Cookie Policy. Our Privacy and Cookie Policy details the terms on which we process any of your personal data. Our Privacy and Cookie Policy also provides details of how we use cookies on our Website.

We may update and change our site from time to time to reflect changes to our products and to improve our users’ experience.
When we update our web-app, we will try to give Storytellers and Viewers reasonable notice of any major changes.
Our public site is made available free of charge.
We do not guarantee that our public site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend or withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our public site for business and operational reasons.
We aim to offer you the best possible experience, but we make no promise that we will meet your requirements and we cannot guarantee that your experience will be fault free at all times. If a fault occurs, please report it to us at [email protected] and we will correct the fault as soon as we reasonably can. If the need arises, we may suspend access to the web-app while we address the fault. We will not be liable to you if the web-app is unavailable for any period of time. Your access may be occasionally restricted to allow for repairs, maintenance or the introduction of new features. We will restore access as soon as we reasonably can.
Our site is directed to people residing in the United Kingdom. We do not represent that content available on or through our site is appropriate for use or available in other locations.
Storytellers and Viewers will have chosen a password which enables access our web-app. Both must treat such information as confidential and must not disclose it to any third party.
We have the right to disable any user identification code or password, whether chosen by Storytellers and Viewers or allocated by us, at any time, if in our reasonable opinion they have failed to comply with any of the provisions of these terms of use.
If you know or suspect that anyone other than you knows your user identification code or password, you must promptly notify us at [email protected].
We are the owner or the licensee of all intellectual property rights in our public site, and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world. All such rights are reserved.
You may print off one copy, and may download extracts, of any page(s) from our public site for your personal use and you may draw the attention of others within your organisation to content posted on our public site.
You must not modify the paper or digital copies of any materials you have printed off or downloaded in any way, and you must not use any illustrations, photographs, video or audio sequences or any graphics separately from any accompanying text.

Our web-app encourages Storytellers and Viewers to submit content. This content remains the intellectual property of their creators. Please view our Privacy Policy for full detail. We disclaim all liability in connection with this content to the extent permitted by law.
Family Quilt aims to bring family closer and therefore we would discourage the upload of material which may incite violence, be deceitful, is likely to embarrass and upset or be threatening.
We do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We will use reasonable skill and care in making the web-app services available to you during your use. Our web-app services are otherwise provided on an “as is” basis and we make no representations or warranties of any kind with respect to it, including as to the accuracy, completeness or currency of the services or their content.
